Food: Homemade Hotdog Chili Recipe: Delicious!

My sister, Missy, has been making this chili at birthday parties and get-togethers for a while now. It is always a big hit and the the cooker is always empty by the end of the night. So, I thought I'd get her to share the recipe with all of you. You are welcome.

Homemade Hotdog Chili

5 lbs hamburger meat
1/2 cup sugar
1 large can tomato juice
1 small onion
3/4 bottle chili powder
2 packages chili seasoning
2 jalapeno peppers - whole (optional)
1-2 cans pinto beans (optional)

Fry hamburger meat, drain. Put 1/2 can tomato juice and all of the small onion in a blender; liquify. (Although you only use 1/2 the tomato juice in the blender, you put the other 1/2 can into the chili as well. It would just be too much for the blender to hold if you put the whole can in there with the onion.) Mix all ingredients into large cooker and cook for approximately 30 minutes.  Remove from heat and let cool. Serve or put into freezer bags and freeze until needed.

*If you add the pinto beans, you may need to add a little more tomato juice.*

That's it. Enjoy!

I'm sharing this post at The Morristribe.
